Bose speakers help, 10 easy pts!?
Regardless of how different everyone's hearing is or what you "think" sounds good what makes an excellent sounding speaker boils down to one thing and one thing only and that is accuracy. A well designed speaker will accurately reproduce the entire frequency range that the human ear is capable of hearing which is roughly from 20Hz-20kHz. A "perfect" frequency response for a speaker would be COMPLETELY FLAT from 20Hz-20kHz. In other words the frequency response spec would be 20Hz-20kHz +/- 0dB. It's never been achieved and it never will be due to our laws of physics but we can get close. Most speakers deviate +/- 3dB and Bose doesn't even come close to that or even capable of reproducing the full range of 20Hz-20kHz. The most accurate speakers(EXPENSIVE) deviate +/- 1.5dB which is an outstanding feat. Those are usually high end studio monitors. If you think Bose sounds good then you don't know very much about accurate sound reproduction and/or have never listened to an accurate sounding system.
