Can you use Baby Lotion for really dry skin on an adult?

I have really dry skin on my forearms, It gets kind of flaky now and then, will baby lotion fix it or is it too mild.. I read that Gwen Stefani uses baby lotion on herself, so now I think its a good idea, i luv her lol
