What's with the new trend on Capitol Hill?

Why the multiple US flags all over the place? What's wrong with ONE flag? Ever since the inauguration, I've seen 3 flags, five flags, dozens of flags on TV serving as a backdrop for each event and just in the hallways as politicians p through. I think it cheapens the flag; we don't need an Andy Warhol soup can treatment to know what our symbol looks like. What do you think?
