Even though the Bible says "Judge not, lest ye be judged" why do some "Christians" judge LGBT people?

Why are we picked out of everyone else in this world by these "Christian" bigots to be judged and criticized so harshly for just living our lives as we were born and minding our own business? Why do these people dedicate their lives to taking away our rights (ie gay marriage in California and Maine)? I may not be Christian but it certainly seems to me to be the opposite of what Christianity preaches.
