I have a question about my ruptured ear drum?

A ruptured ear drum is often caused by ear infection. Sometimes adults have very few symptoms with ear infections, unlike children. Have you been on an airplane recently or had a head cold? The bleeding should stop within 24 hours. Keep a cotton ball in your ear (not deep), just to draw out the blood to keep it from pooling and crusting in your ear c. DO NOT use ear swabs to clean the blood! I don't think you have anything serious -- ear problems can develop out of the blue with no warning at all. If you are still bleeding tomorrow, I would make an appt with your family physician.
